LABOUR PARTY HAVE REACTED TO THE ISSUE OF FUEL SCARCITY IN THE COUNTRY

Labour Party has expressed serious concern over the perennial fuel scarcity that had left the masses further impoverished.

According to the party, the crisis will only end when goverment stops importation of petroleum products.

National Chairman of the party, Dan Nwanaywu told hotfm that it doesn’t make any economic sense to spend trillions of naira on funding importation when same could be used to fix refineries that will ensure local refining.

The party leader also accused the minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy Ngozi Okonjo Iweala of fueling the recent crisis by paying subsidy claims to selected importers.

He further explained that he joined the call by CNPP demanding release of all subsidy transactions because he believes there is more than meets the eye.

While describing Ngozi Okonjor- Iweala as a world bank agent who is only interested in satisfying her pay masters, Nwanyawu called on President Goodluck Jonathan to look into the matter in the interest of the masses.
