Siemens Group has come out with an official
statement, refuting that it has stake in the Power Holding Company of
Nigeria(PHCN) through any of the companies that has shown interest in the
privatization process.
It said its concern was to give necessary
technical support to companies that have interests in the PHCN.
The Managing Director of Siemens Group, Mr
Michael Lakota stated this, while speaking with journalists in Lagos.
He stressed that the Company remains focused
towards improving technological growth and development in the Country, and will
continue to offer its assistance where necessary.
He said “We have no stake in any other
company in Nigeria, whether in shares, capital or whatever.” He also stressed
that the fact that the company was focused on the development of the power
sector in the country,the nation’s economic transformation was possible.
