Rivers State Records N9 Billion IGR In The Month of February

Rivers state governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi says it has hit internally generated revenue of N9.5 billion the highest since the commencement of tax reforms in the state.

Amaechi told newsmen in Port Harcourt, that the figure was the highest recorded since 2007.

Amaechi, who was represented by his Chief Press Secretary, David Iyofor, urged Rivers people and corporate bodies in the state to continue to support the Rivers State Board of Internal Revenue and Syke Bank Tax Partners by promptly paying their taxes for sustainable growth and development of the state as funds collected would assist the administration in carrying out more developmental projects in the state.
