Dangote Cement PLC is proposing a N3 dividend for its shareholders
after the cement company recorded a 25.1 per cent profit in its 2012 audited
financial statement.
In the firm’s filing to the Nigerian
Stock Exchange, the company’s revenue grew in the period under review by 23.6
per cent to N298.4 billion.
At the end of midweek trading at the
Nigerian equities market, Dangote Cement appreciated by 2.56 per cent to close
at N160.
Meanwhile, the cement company is
forecasting a 38 per cent jump in its first-quarter net income this year, while
expecting revenue will increase by 27 per cent.
