
The administration of
Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State says over 60 projects under the state
government and MDG partnerships have been completed.
The
projects would be ready for commissioning by the end of the month.
The
Governor, who announced this said the projects were under the 60/40 programme
of the government aimed at improving health care services in the rural areas.
Okorocha
spoke as part of resolution at the end of a meeting with the Millennium
Development Goal Project, MDGS, coordinator in Imo State, Nma Nzeribe.
He disclosed that the
project under the MDGs include primary health centres, emergency flood shelter
buildings and community health centres, adding that they would be equipped in
line with global standard.
Okorocha urged
contractors handling some of these projects to expedite action to ensure
completion of the project within the stipulated time.
He
maintained that the present administration was determined to pursue all
projects designed to improve the lives of the people, especially at the
grassroots, and advised benefiting communities to guard the projects in their
domain with care, in their overall interest, and report to government any
deviation.
