
Bullish trend
continued at the stock market with the All Share Index, ALSI, closing for the
day at 36,158.04 basis points thus appreciating by 14.49 points or 0.04 percent
when compared with Wednesday’s closing figure of 36,143.55.
The market
capitalisation of the listed entities equally gained N4 billion or 0.03 percent
to close at N11.516 trillion as against Wednesday’s N11.512 trillion closing
figure.
At the close of
transactions Thursday, investors traded 314.29 million shares valued at N2.89
billion in 4,714 deals as against the 294.69 million shares valued at N2.64
billion that exchanged hands in 4,241 deals Wednesday.
Total Plc led the
top five gainers chart on Thursday with its share price appreciating by N5.00
to close at N157.01k per share.
Unilever came
second with a gain of N2.61k in its share price to close at N60.61k per share
while PZ was third with a price gain of N0.50k in its share price to close at
N37.50k per share.
UAC Property
followed with its share price gaining N0.48k to close at N15.70k per share
while NASCON was last on the chart with a gain of N0.37k in its share price to
close at N11.92k per share.
On the other hand,
the top five losers chart was led by Nestle Plc with a loss of N10.97k in its
share price to close at N990.03k per share.
Presco was second
with a price loss of N3.70k to close at N33.30k per share while CAP Plc was
third losing N2.07k in its share price to close at N37.00 per share.
UACN was fourth
with a loss of N1.01k in its share price to close at N57.99k per share while
Jos Breweries was last on the chart with a loss of N0.54k in its share price to
close at N4.86k per share.
The five trades by
volume chart on Thursday was led by Transcorp with 43.52 million shares valued
at N64.92 million.
Wema Bank was
second with 38.19 million volume of shares worth N35.53 million while Access
Bank was third with 34.32 million shares worth N340.97 million.
Unity Bank was
fourth with 29.50 million shares valued at N16.68 million while GTB was last
with 26.95 million shares valued at N673.62 million.
