MoneyGram partners Diamond Bank on fund transfer

MoneyGram has announced the commencement of a partnership with Diamond Bank Plc to provide premium money transfer service at strategic locations in the country.

Speaking on behalf of Diamond Bank Plc, the bank’s Executive Director, Retail Banking, Uzoma Dozie, was quoted to have said in a statement that the partnership was an important milestone in providing secure and accessible money transfer services to meet the needs of the bank’s customers.


On his part, Divisional Head, Transaction and e-Banking, Diamond Bank, Daniel Akumabor, assured the MoneyGram team of significant growth on the platform as a result of the partnership.

To the Executive Vice President, MoneyGram USA and Canada, Peter Ohser, with Diamond Bank joining the money transfer firm’s network, it now has over 4000 active locations in Nigeria.


Ohser described the partnership as a genuine way to provide solution to the need of Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora.

Commenting on the partnership, MoneyGram Vice-President Africa, Herve Chomel said he foresees rapid market expansion in the country.
He therefore expressed delight in the partnership with the bank.
