FG Urged youths To Work For Unity Of Nigeria
Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, has called on Nigerian youths to believe and work for the unity of Nigeria in order to make the country great.
Osinbajo, made the call at a conference in Abuja.
The acting president, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, also advised youths to avoid divisible ideas irrespective of their religion and ethnicity.
He says the strength and prosperity of Nigeria is in its diversity, advising that the current disagreements among different nationalities were common with many countries of the world.
Osinbajo states that many countries have made effort to stay together, adding that there is power and strength in diversity.
He notes that the greatest countries in the world are those that did not contemplate secession even in the face their internal disagreements but struggled to stay together.
According to him, research has shown that those who scored high in diversity turned out to be more innovative and successful than those less diverse groups.
Our correspondent report that the conference is tagged: “I am a Nigerian Conference” and unveiling of a book titled: ‘’Project One Nigerian’’ organised by Project One, a Non-Governmental Organisation.
