interest to acquire.
According to the Bureau of Public Enterprises in a
statement said this is coming ahead of the March 21, 2013, deadline for all the
bidders to make the mandatory 25 per cent payment in line with the Share
Purchase Agreement for the transactions.
The statement added that the final approval of the
preferred bidders by NCP and its announcement for the successor companies was
done on October 23, 2012.
Meanwhile, the Senior Staff Association of
Electricity and Allied Companies in PHCN, said the government had invited the
union for talks over the severance package.
Bede Opara, the President-General of the
association, told E-BIZ 24/7 in Lagos that the talks would hold in Abuja,

He said the invitation is to harmonise the report of
implementation committee on the payment of their entitlement.
He expressed optimism that the meeting would put an
end to the lingering crisis between the PHCN workers and the Federal
