Special Adviser on Rural Development to the Osun
State Governor, Kunle Ige, has said that over N3bn has been spent by the Rauf
Aregbesola administration to provide electricity for rural communities in the
state.
Ige disclosed this during a news conference held in
Osogbo on Monday to highlight the activities of the state government.
The special adviser said the rural transformational
agenda of the government had witnessed the provision of 350 boreholes in
various rural communities across the three senatorial zones of the state.
Ige reiterated the commitment of the Aregbesola
administration to banishing hunger, poverty and unemployment, adding that the
lots of the masses had been bettered in the last 30 months when Aregbesola
emerged as governor.
He maintained that the restoration of healthy living
among the masses and beautification of the environment remained a cardinal
point of the administration.
